Refund policy

Order Changes & Cancellations

Once an order has been placed, we are unable to cancel, modify, or combine orders. If you have any questions before placing your order, please contact us at orders@myfiltercompany.com.

Refused, undeliverable, or “Return to Sender” packages will be subject to return shipping charges equal to the original shipping cost. Please verify your shipping address carefully before submitting your order to ensure successful delivery.


Standard Return Policy

We offer a 30-day return policy for most items. This means you have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return.

To qualify for a return, items must be:

  • Unused and in original condition
  • Returned with all original tags, labels, and packaging intact
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase or order confirmation

Items returned without prior return authorization will not be accepted.

Specialty Items

Specialty Items are identified in the product description and are subject to different return terms due to their size, handling requirements, or special nature.

  • Specialty Items have a 15-day return window from the date of purchase.
  • All Specialty Item returns are subject to a 10% - 25% restocking fee. This is stated on the product page.
  • All Abatement products are considered Specialty Items, and incur a 20% restocking fee whether specifically noted in the product description or not.

Packaging Requirements

Please inspect and open all packages immediately upon receipt.

When opening your package, we strongly recommend doing so carefully to avoid damaging labels, packaging, or product materials. If an item is sealed in plastic, carefully cut one end with scissors rather than tearing the packaging. Preserving the original packaging may help you avoid additional restocking fees if a return is needed.

Returned items must be shipped inside protective outer packaging to prevent damage to the manufacturer’s original box or packaging. The only exception is if the item was originally shipped without outer packaging.


Damaged or Used Returns

Items returned in used, incomplete, or damaged condition — including damaged manufacturer packaging — may:

  • Be denied for refund, or
  • Be subject to a restocking fee ranging from 20%–50%

Restocking fees are determined based on the condition of the returned item and packaging.


Returns Outside the Return Window

Items returned outside the standard return window may not qualify for a refund. If an exception is approved, the return may be subject to a 10%–20% restocking fee based on:

  • Product condition
  • Packaging condition
  • Length of time since purchase

Orders placed through third-party marketplaces may be subject to additional fees or marketplace-specific return policies.


Import Duties & Customs Fees

Import duties, taxes, and customs fees are non-refundable.


Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can evaluate the issue and assist you promptly.

For shipping damage claims, the following photos are required:

  1. A photo showing the entire product, shipping box, shipping label, and packaging materials
  2. A close-up photo of the damaged area(s)
  3. A photo showing the internal protective packaging materials (foam, bubble wrap, cardboard inserts, etc.)

Failure to provide required photos may delay or prevent claim resolution.


Non-Returnable Items

Certain items are non-returnable, including:

  • Used items
  • Installed items
  • Items not in original condition

If you are unsure whether your item qualifies for return, please contact us before sending it back.


Exchanges

We do not process direct exchanges. The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to submit a return request for the original item and place a new order separately.


Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding approval of your refund.

If approved, refunds will be issued to your original payment method. Please note that banks and credit card companies may require additional processing time before the refund appears in your account.
